Places to stay

Which Blagaj campsite suits a tent or motorhome?

Jump to sections

The short answer

For a simple tent stay, Camp Bara lists showers, electricity and a kitchen as included facilities. It also welcomes campervans and motorhomes up to 8.5 metres.

For a motorhome that needs servicing, AutoCamp Blagaj lists water, electricity and direct wastewater disposal for trailers and mobile homes. Both campsites are beside the Buna, so the best choice comes down to the facilities you need and the size of your vehicle.

See the useful differences

  • Camp Bara: welcomes backpackers, cars, vans, small trailers and motorhomes up to 8.5 metres. Showers, electricity and a kitchen are included.
  • AutoCamp Blagaj: has 25 to 30 camping places across nearly 2,500 m². Water, electricity, toilets and direct wastewater disposal for trailers and mobile homes are available throughout the camp.
  • Season and setting: both are on the Buna. AutoCamp Blagaj says it is open throughout the year; check Camp Bara's opening dates for your stay.

There are a few details worth confirming before you choose. Camp Bara does not list tank-disposal facilities, while AutoCamp Blagaj does not give a maximum vehicle length or mention showers or a guest kitchen. Neither campsite lists individual pitch dimensions or surfaces.

Choose Camp Bara for tent comfort

Camp Bara gives tent travellers a straightforward everyday set-up. Backpackers are welcome, and having showers, electricity and a kitchen included can make a lightweight stay much easier.

Cars, vans, small trailers and motorhomes are also welcome, with an 8.5-metre limit for motorhomes. If your vehicle is close to that length, give the campsite its full dimensions, including any rear rack, and ask about the pitch surface and turning space. Motorhome tank disposal is not listed among the facilities.

Check that the campsite is open for your dates and let it know when you expect to arrive.

Choose AutoCamp Blagaj for motorhome services

AutoCamp Blagaj has 25 to 30 camping places across nearly 2,500 square metres. Motorhome travellers can use electricity, water, toilets and an area for direct wastewater disposal from trailers and mobile homes.

If you need to empty both grey-water and toilet tanks, check that the disposal point can take each type. It is also sensible to give the campsite your vehicle length and ask about the entrance, allocated space and pitch surface, as these details are not listed.

The campsite says it is open throughout the year. Contact it before travelling to confirm space for your dates.

Treat the river as part of the setting

The Buna is part of the appeal at both campsites. AutoCamp Blagaj lists fishing and kayaking, while Camp Bara highlights its riverbank setting.

If you hope to swim, fish, kayak or light a fire, ask the campsite about current conditions and local rules first. The available information does not cover fishing permits, launch rules, river conditions or fire restrictions, and these can affect what is safe and allowed during your stay.
